The Central Bureau of Investigation has prosecuted excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana in the Vanpic land deal has arrested him on Thursday as all the proceeding pointing towards him with Nimmagadda Prasad evidence against excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana in the Vanpic land deal. This is the first arrest from Congress government . 5 more ministers are in que who got legal notices from supreme court.Vanpic deal was a sub-plot of the Jagan Mohan Reddy illegal assets case — even as it issued summons to him for the second time on monday . Since then The CBI questioned Mr Ramana at Dilsukha guest house daily and on yesterday for seven hours day-long grilling by the CBI has got evidence of his misuse of power.
Mr Ramana, minister for investments, ports and infrastructure in the Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy government, issued GOs to allot land to the Vanpic project of Mr Nimmagadda Prasad, who was arrested on Monday. Sources said that the investigation agency had found discrepancies in certain GOs; one of the GO is said to be undated.
