Tension prevailed at the Osmania University(OU) campus here when the OU hostel authorities started vacating the hostels of the students with the help of the police, here today. Today is the last date for vacating campus hostels as the post graduate course examinationswere over. Even after the issuance of advance notice to students to vacate the hostel rooms, the students did not oblige and hence taking action the university officials stopped the water and electricity supplies to hostels, according to varsity officials.Earlier, the students expressed their reluctance to vacate theirhostels citing public examinations and other bank examinations that are scheduled to take place after PG exams.
